Explore the various ways to send emails to a big audience while also personalizing messages to suit each recipient.

Before You Start

  1. Check our Mailing List General Information to determine if a mailing list fits your message.

  2. Review Gmail's Sending Limits to see if your message can be sent via Gmail or if a different service like Google Groups is required.

Send Identical Messages

Gmail

Gmail's sending limits are generous enough to accommodate most needs. Geneseo Gmail accounts can send a message to up to 2000 Geneseo.edu recipients.

Be very sure you are using the BCC field. BCC stands for Blind Carbon Copy and ensures that recipients cannot see other recipients. If you add recipients to the To or CC fields, any recipient who performs reply-all will send their message to all recipients of your message.

Google Groups

Google Groups are a popular solution for repeated communication with a large recipient list. Please see our page on Google Groups for more information.

Send Customized Messages

Mailmeteor

Mailmeteor is used to send and track personalized emails. Mailmeteor enables you to send up to 500 emails from each email account. Your email quota resets 24 hours after your most recent campaign.

YAMM

The previously grandfathered pricing plan has been discontinued. Under the current structure, the default free plan allows a maximum of 20 daily emails for each account.
