Embedding Media from an External Source into Brightspace

You can use the Rich Content Editor to embed video and audio media from external resources. Insert Stuff can be used to add video and audio files from your computer, somewhere else in Brightspace, or from an external source. It also allows you to easily record and add a video message. The steps below walk you through using Insert Stuff to embed rich media content into a Brightspace element.

Steps

  1. From within your Brightspace element displaying the Rich Content Editor, click the Insert Stuff icon

  2. Scroll down to the bottom until you see the option for Enter Embed Code and select that option

  3. Paste the embed code. Embed code is usually going to be on the longer side, so you'll most likely be copying the code from the video site and pasting it here. Click Next.

  4. In the resulting preview window, click Insert to embed your content into your Brightspace element.
