This self help guide will describe how to add a video link to Geneseo's web pages.

  1. From the page editing screen click on the "Insert from Media Library" icon.

  1. Choose Remote video on the left pane.

  1. Paste the link to the video in the "Add Remote video via URL" field and click on the Add button.

  1. In the popup, enter the name of the video and choose the directory (Optional) then click the "Choose and Insert" Button.

  2. If the video already exists search for it in the Media Library and click insert.

Adding a YouTube video to the Drupal Content Management System

These instructions will help you add a YouTube video to the Drupal Content Management System.

  1. On the right side of the YouTube video, you will find an "Embed" text box.

  2. Copy the text from that box

  3. In a different window or tab, log into the Drupal system and navigate to the page where you would like to have the video.

  4. Click on the edit button at the bottom of the page

  5. When in the editor click the HTML button in the toolbar to edit the HTML source.

  6. Insert the YouTube code you copied into the desired page.

  7. Preview the page to make sure the video has been added correctly

  8. If your video appears correctly save your page on the server and you're all set.
