Banner and KnightWeb Service Migration This Weekend

Geneseo’s Banner and KnightWeb services are currently hosted on local servers. In April 2023, CIT, with the approval of cabinet, launched a project to migrate hosting to the SUNY Information Technology Exchange Center (ITEC).

The final migration will begin after hours on Friday, January 12 and will continue through the end of day on Monday, January 15. All Banner and KnightWeb services will be unavailable during this period. We are working with campus offices to evaluate and mitigate the impact on scheduled events of this planned outage.

The migration team includes the Banner Steering Committee, which consists of representatives from all primary Banner administrative departments. They are participating in planning, testing, and final migration.
