Resources and Support for Digital Tools
There are many digital tools available for use in instruction and research. This list represents the applications that are supported at Geneseo (by CIT, the Center for Digital Learning, and Fraser Library) and most used by faculty. For support with any of the tools below, submit a request in the CIT Service Desk.
For things not on the list: we are often asked, "Can I try this new tool with my class?" The answer is a resounding yes; however we may be learning along with you, the tool may not work well with our environment, and flexibility in use will be important. Please contact us if you have any questions.
Words of Caution
Pedagogy first! Never use a software solution to just use it. Make sure it matches your course pedagogy.
Whenever possible, use a college-supported software solution.
Try to limit the number of additional logins that you require of your students.
Do not put student grades on platforms not supported by the college.
Ensure platforms not supported by the college meet accessibility required.
