One of the easiest methods to improve your cybersecurity is to keep your software and apps updated. Software developers are constantly looking for signs of hackers and searching for holes in their product’s security.
To fix these issues, most software companies release regular updates. In many cases you can make it automatic, so you don’t have to worry about staying on top of updates. If you don’t have automatic software updates turned on, it’s critical to make updating your devices a regular habit. These updates should be installed as soon as possible to avoid any security risks.
Only download software and apps to your computer from verified sources. Pirated, hacked, or unlicensed software can spread malware and viruses. Updates should come from the developer’s official website or the app store.
