Steps
Deleting Modules and Sub-Modules
On the navbar, click Content.
Click the module or sub-module name in the menu on the left. For sub-modules, you may need to click on the module name to find the sub-module.
In the right two-thirds of the screen/column, click the chevron icon next to the module or sub-module name and select Delete Module.
Select one of two options:
Remove the module and all nested modules and topics from Content but keep all associated files and activities in the course. This option keeps uploaded files and web pages created in Brightspace in the Manage Files area so you can add them back to the course later. Assignments, Discussions, and Quizzes are also kept in the course, in their designated tool’s area.
Permanently delete and remove all nested modules, topics, and all associated files and activities from the course. This option permanently deletes content items, including learning activities, from the course.
Click Delete.
Deleting Content Topics
A topic in a module or sub-module can be an uploaded file, a web page created in Brightspace, a link or another piece of content such as an Assignment, Discussion, or Quiz.
On the navbar, click Content.
Click the module or sub-module name in the menu on the left to locate the topic you want to delete. For topics in sub-modules, you may need to click on the module name to find the sub-module.
In the right two-thirds of the screen/column, click the chevron icon next to the topic name and select Delete Topic.

Permanently delete both the topic from Content and the associated file or activity from the course. This option permanently content topics, including learning activities, from the course.
Click Delete.
You may notice the “Restore Content” widget on the landing page for your course(s). This is intended to replace Canvas' “undelete trick” and will assist you in restoring content previously deleted. Please be advised that not all content can be recovered, so choose your deletions carefully.
