The Geneseo VPN Client does not need to be moved to the trash. The steps below outline how the app can still be used on macOS Ventura, despite this pop-up seemingly blocking access.

Steps

  1. In a Finder window, open your Applications folder, find Geneseo VPN Client or BIG-IP Edge Client, right-click it (press and hold the “control” key on your keyboard and then click it), and select Open.

  2. If you receive a second prompt, click Open again

  3. The application will then open normally, and authentication to enable VPN will occur

Tip

This is expected to be a short-term workaround for the Geneseo VPN Client, as the software manufacturer, F5, is aware of the issue and will begin working on a fix once macOS Ventura is publicly available.
