This guide provides details about the metadata required for new Credly badges. Badge metadata is the content you create to represent your micro-credential, certification, course, or designation. This information should describe what the earners are capable of doing, what they had to do to earn it and why it's meaningful. |
Microcredentials at SUNY Geneseo provide opportunities for students to document their learning. Geneseo encourages students to see learning as something that is integrated and makes connections to experiences beyond the classroom. Microcredentials increase the visibility of skills for employers and graduate schools by giving students a platform for curating examples of their work, articulating the connections between different types of experiences, and applying skills in new contexts.
