In some cases Windows 11 installation may fail on the 1st try, in which case your device will just be reverted to Windows 10 and will try to download and install again. You will be able to use your device during this re-download/install. If this happens let your device run through this process and then restart and it should be successful on the 2nd try. 

What to do if you get a blue screen when your device restarts: 

• When you are logged back into your device run the Windows Troubleshooter and this should fix the device and allow the installation to succeed.
