Digital Signs with Airtame and Amazon Signage Stick

Airtame software can run on the inexpensive Amazon Signage Stick and be used as simple managed digital signage via Google Slides. For purchasing information and configuration assistance, please Ask CIT.

Before You Start

Prior to purchasing equipment, CIT recommends that you consult with Facilities Services on the location of your sign. Facilities will assist with mounting the equipment and electrical power.

The following items are recommended by CIT and purchased by the department:

  • Digital display (TV) and mounting bracket

  • Amazon Signage Stick

  • Airtame Core license (CIT chargeback)

Digital Display Content (Google Slides)

  1. Contact CIT and we will set up a Google Slideshow for you with a Geneseo themed template in a Google Shared Drive that you and your colleagues can access and edit.

  2. CIT will load the slideshow onto the device and make sure that it is displaying properly on the TV.

  3. If a slide contains many elements overlapping, it may show up as a plain white screen or be missing parts of the content. If this happens, take a screenshot of the completed slide and then recreate the slide as a single image.
