Administrative Report Guidelines 2020
(Revised 1/6/2020)
The annual report serves important functions at the unit, division, and College level. The strategic goal setting that is facilitated by this report can help guide the work of a unit and communicate specific needs to the College. The report can also communicate useful information to the provost’s office regarding key efforts and challenges facing a unit. Finally, the annual report can provide evidence of assessment and continuous improvement efforts to College accrediting bodies. Reports of this nature should always support and facilitate student success.
As you work with your colleagues to complete this year’s department report, please answer the following questions:
- Summarize your unit goals for the past academic year.
- Review the progress you have made toward those goals and provide evidence of that progress.
- Discuss your departmental goals for the next academic year and the evidence you will use to demonstrate progress toward those goals.
- Explain how next year’s goals align with the institution’s strategic plan.
- Present your action plan for achieving next year’s goals.
Please email your report as a Word or PDF document to the provost’s assistant by June 30.
