Steps for macOS
Download SpartanStudentV903.dmg from software.geneseo.edu
Once the file finishes downloading, navigate to your downloads folder and open the .dmg
Drag Spartan Student V9 into your Applications folder.
Open Spartan Student from either Applications or Launchpad.
Click Accept to accept the license agreement.
Click OK. Enter your administrator password in the dialogue that follows.
Spartan Student will now open fully. A dialogue for licensing the software will pop up. Click Launch License Utility.
Select the radio button for Network, then click Next.
Before the license server can be entered, the Sentinel Installer has to run.
Click Next/Continue until you reach the license agreement page. Agree to the license.
Click Continue.
A message will pop up saying that a System Extension has been blocked. Click Open System Preferences.
Click the Lock and enter your administrator credentials.
Click Allow next to the blocked system extension.
Click the Lock and close System Preferences.
Once the installation has finished, return to the Spartan installer and click Next.
Enter spartanlic.geneseo.edu into the box for the license server. Click Next. The software should now be licensed and ready to use.
If Spartan says "A valid license was not found", try clicking Check License.
If that does not work, click Launch License Utility. Replace spartanlic.geneseo.edu with 137.238.2.85
If that still does not work, click Check License again. The software should find the license and become available for use.
